2012 for me was an eventful year. One of my highlights was getting to dress the facejacker himself Kayvan Novak for the Jonathan Ross show. It was a chance occurrence for which I didn't have any time to prepare but luckily enough after quite a few no's Kayvan was up for my outfit choice. Mr Novak wanted something sharp but understated. He also didn't want to look too "try hard" in a suit, shirt and tie. So I picked one of the own personal favourite looks. I call it the "Gandy/ Rhone"! It's based around a neatly fitted slightly dropped crew T shirt (not on the level that the Geordie shore boys are parading!) put together with a tailored jacket, slick denim and to finish off with a touch of finesse, a handkerchief or pocket square. After showing him some pictures on my iPad of David Gandy ( the co founder of this look!!) he was sold on a matching waistcoat to jacket which Gandy was wearing in tweed. Unfortunately we had nothing in tweed or that was matching but I managed to get a black waistcoat with covered buttons to contrast and match up with the POW un-structured jacket I had picked. It looked slick against the white tee so we went with it. It was massive that the items we went with were without prejudice - the brand I work for. As I've said before and will no doubt say more in the future about how good this British brand is and will grow to be! For the brand it's just about getting it out to the masses and this was a big leap in doing that! Anyway enough shameless business related promotion, the bottom line was that Kayvan looked ridiculously cool and he nailed the interview. Plus I got the look I put together got seen by 3.4m viewers... Slightly chuffed!
