LCM review

Sorry people for the late reaction but here is my own brief personal overview of LCM. First off how do some of these people do it?? Serious stamina is needed for the three days that's for sure! The early starts, cramming in as many shows and presentations as possible all day and then partying late. Then the cycle is repeated the next day and the day after! All good fun though. There was a fantastic buzz around London for those three days and for someone who lives and breaths men's fashion it was a joy to be around and see all the eclectic individual styles of the LCM crowd.

Went to the shows with my guys Reece Laurent-Hughes who's editor at www.pickmixmagazine.com and Sidney Blackburn and George Hunt of www.sidneyandgeorge.com. Reece has serious style. That's without the knotted dread's! And as for Sid and Georgie watch out for these boys!

Getting back to the overview it was a brilliant three days and every season I totally believe London is closing the gap on Paris and Milan. Maybe London will never rank alongside the established mens weeks but on this evidence it will come close. From the big names like Tom Ford, Alexander McQueen and Burberry to the new exciting designers on the block like Christopher Raeburn and Katie Eary. And then I think British menswear's strength, its Tailoring and craftsmanship. With Savile Row having a presentation at Lords cricket ground, Hardy Aimes showcasing from the top of the Gherkin building to Hackett and Spencer Harts slick runway shows.

For an in-depth look of what I thought check out my recent article for www.mensfashionmagazine.co.uk/ http://www.mensfashionmagazine.co.uk/mfms-review-of-london-collections-men

Also upcoming are some LCM stylish salutes but in the mean time here are some visuals from the week.
